SXSW Music

Cloud Nothings

Everything is big in Texas — barbecue, politics, cowboy hats, sports, and this week, the music!
SXSW Music is 25 years old and has become a destination event for the music industry, bands and fans. Capping off SXSW’s Interactive and Film festivals, SXSW Music has a lot of music. How much? Try more than 2,000 bands on 90 stages over five days.
To name just a few of the highlights, South Africa’s Tidal Waves (“the hardest working reggae band in South Africa) brings old-school Zulu guitar pop and distortion happy-punk; New York’s boys grow up to be a Caveman; Cleveland’s newest art on the edge of Dylan Baldi’s Cloud Nothings; noise-pop of Sleigh Bells; and the wild Surfer Blood (“you will know us by the trail of dead”).
In addition to the panels, parties, acts, and new tech roll-outs, be sure to check out the debut of Jack White’s Third Man Rolling Record Store.
