Zeb and Haniya: From Lahore to the World

Zeb and HaniyaAcclaimed singer-songwriting duo Zeb and Haniya bring a global sensibility to original songs and reinterpretations of melodies from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Central Asia. This Fall they have embarked on the Center Stage Tour, a cultural diplomacy initiative of the U.S. State Department that brings compelling contemporary artists from around the world to the United States.

In this podcast we talk with Zeb and Haniya about the Lahore music scene, how music transcends cultural and religious boundaries, and their reception thus far on what promises to be an amazing U.S. tour. They play the Madison World Music Festival on September 14 – 15 with additional dates through October.
