Ping Sara TalvinPing Chong & Company was founded in 1975 to explore the meaning of contemporary theatre and art and the intersection of race, culture, history, media and technology.

In this podcast we talk with Ping Chong, Sara Zatz and Talvin Wilks about a new summer theatre institute that took place at the Ko Festival. They reflect on how they developed a week-long curriculum exploring oral history theatre and community-based performance. They also talk about how the Undesirable Elements process (“UE”) can lead to the creation of new and different work, and their upcoming work-in-progress titled Cry for Peace: Voices from the Congo.
