Shanta Thake: globalFEST in Action

Shanta Thake is the director of Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater, one of New York City’s most celebrated showcase venues for live music and performance. She is also co-curator and presenter of globalFEST.

In this podcast Shanta talks about how she came to her current position, how it is possible to program over 800 live performances in one location, and how she and fellow curators Bill Bragin and Isabel Soffer choose artists for the festival.
