Penny KempPenny Kemp is director of The Big Green Gathering Festival, one of the most successful eco-festivals combining activism and entertainment.

In this interview Penny talks about the difficulties of mainstreaming ecologically sustainable practices, how environmental technology has improved since BGG started, and why she gets special treatment at the Healing Fields.

Allison Troup-JensenAllison Troup-Jensen is a theatre director, choreographer and actor. She has worked with The Crucible Theatre, The Tristan Bates Theatre, The Royal Shakespeare Company and Savoy Theatre/West End. Recently she brought her latest project Ecouter – Space 7 to the Martin Segal Theater Center at CUNY.

In this podcast Allison talks about the rich source material of photographer Francesca Woodman whose work has inspired a group of cross-disciplinary artists to create seven new performing arts pieces. Sharyn Rothstein: the Balance of Writing

Sharyn Rothstein is a New York City-based playwright whose full-length and one-act plays have been workshopped and produced by Ensemble Studio Theatre, New Georges and 3 Graces Theater Company among others. She is a winner of the Samuel French Short Play Contest and is part of this year’s Bay Area Playwrights Festival.

In this podcast Sharyn talks about balancing her life in order to write, some of the key milestones that directed her to where she is today, and the importance of support networks like Youngblood, a collective for emerging playwrights under the age of thirty.

Mariano Dossena: Time and Priestley (English Translation)

Mariano DossenaThis year is the 25th anniversary of J.B. Priestley’s death, and Mariano Dossena, a young Argentine actor, teacher and director, is paying him the best possible homage by staging one of his greatest plays, Time and the Conways, at the Centro Cultural de la Cooperación, located on Corrientes Avenue – the “Broadway” of Buenos Aires.

Mariano Dossena talked with KadmusArts about his first contact with Priestley’s plays and why he greatly admires this “genius and architect of the dramatic structure.” He also explained how he created a feeling of estrangement while starting from within a realist structure, and why he considers it very important to respect the voice of the author.

Priestley; Mariano Dossena, un joven actor, director y maestro argentino, le rinde el mejor homenaje dirigiendo una de sus más grandes obras, El Tiempo y los Conway, en el Centro Cultural de la Cooperación, en la famosa Avenida Corrientes, la “Broadway” de Buenos Aires.

En una entrevista con KadmusArts, Mariano Dossena nos habló de su primer contacto con las obras de Priestley y nos dijo por qué admira tanto a este “genio y arquitecto de la estructura dramática”. También nos contó cómo pudo crear una sensación de extrañamiento a partir de una estructura realista, y por qué es tan importante respetar la voz del autor.
