| Festival Description | The Music Festival is quite unique among all other French music festivals—there is not a concert to be had. The Festival’s founder, Maurice Fleuret, stipulated this condition, emphasizing other ways of performing music in order to get people in the streets with music all around them. In 2000, over 800,000 musicians participated, both professional and amateur. Perhaps as a testament to its popularity, this festival has been exported to over 100 countries in the 25 years since its inception. |
