Vaasa Choirfestival is an international large-scale happening of choir music. It is arranged on the weekend of the Ascension Day. Vaasa Choirfestival is is open to all choirs and is happy and social celebration. During the five days over 100 concerts are arranged. Choir music can be heard at churches, concert halls, schools, restaurants, etc. Vaasa Choirfestival is recognized as a member of Finland Festivals since 2002 and as a member of IFCM-International Federation for Choral Music since 2005.Festival's main performers consist of national and international top choirs and vocal ensembles.
