Festival Description

Versatility is paramount at Turku Music Festival when it comes to both concert venues and programming. There are several possible music festival venues within easy reach of the Aura River that flows through the city: the Cathedral, the Academy Hall, the Manilla Theatre, Sigyn Hall, the Concert Hall and Turku Castle. These are excellent venues for early music, timeless classics, contemporary music, jazz, opera and concerts for children. Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2009, the Turku Music Festival is proud to be the oldest music festival in Finland.
