| Festival Description | Kaustinen Folk Music Festival is the largest and longest-established celebration of folk music and dance in the Nordic countries. It has been organised every year since 1968. The beautiful music and colourful folk dances of a theme country make a memorable impression on the festival audiences. This festival brings together folk music and the music, heritage and future of ordinary people, both Finnish and international, through song and dance. The programme incorporates more than 200 concerts and other events involving more than 300 performing ensembles from Finland and abroad. |
