| Festival Description | The Old Mutual Encounters Concerts is excited to introduce Rocking the Gardens, in partnership with Complete Events and Oppikoppi Productions. The eco-friendly music and lifestyle festival will be held on the 3rd of October at the Emmarentia Dam, at the Johannesburg Botanical Gardens. Taking a leaf from Rocking the Daisies, South Africa’s premier eco-friendly music and lifestyle festival, Rocking the Gardens too will be ‘green’. By partnering with Food and Trees for Africa, and other leading NGO’s, the event will continue to spread the ‘play hard, tread lightly’ message in the Northern regions of South Africa. Audiences can look forward to exhilarating live stage acts from Just Jinger, Freshlyground, aKING, 340 ml, Black Hotels, Ashtray Electric, Tidal Waves, Gang of Instrumentals and Bed on Bricks. Rocking the Gardens will offer Johannesburg the best in live entertainment, lifestyle exhibitions and gourmet food. Begin your spring season with the popular all-day music festival and join us for an unrivalled array of fresh and experienced acts. Be sure to pack your umbrella, picnic blankets, and cooler boxes and let Old Mutual Encounters Concerts take care of the rest. Please remember that no alcohol, glass or cans will be allowed into the venue — there is a fully stocked bar on site. Day-care facilities are available for children. This facility includes trained nannies, a jumping castle and various other facilities to make sure your little ones are entertained. |
