| Festival Description | This festival, now grown into a biennial event, has been held since 1996 in the university town Tartu in a co-operation with the Vanemuine theatre. Its aim is to function as a survey of the best Estonian stage productions; no foreign companies have so far participated. Productions are selected from the last two seasons, and prizes are given for the best production, design, male and female actors, etc. The jury is composed of Estonian and foreign critics. Next festival will be held September 2007. |
