| Festival Description | Since the first Hay Festival took place in Wales in 1988 the festival has continued to expand it’s horizons — taking place around the world. The events in Beirut features a program of the best local, national and international artists. As a sister festival to the original festival that takes place on Hay on Wye in Wales it is renowned worldwide for its open and welcoming atmosphere. A place where cultural conversations, meetings and debates in the realms of literature, cinema, journalism, history and science take place. In addition to the discussions there are performances in music, visual arts exhibitions and workshops for students lead by writers, film-makers and artists |
