| Festival Description | The Calabar Festival and Carnival began in 2000 as a street party and has since grown and developed into West Africa’s biggest party! The festivities run for approximately one month with a range of arts programming that includes multiple genres of music, the performing arts, street performers, brilliant and bright costumes and regalia that makes for a memorable experience! National and international stars take to the stages, as well as competitions, youth development events, dancers, sports, a food fair and much, much more… The tourism festival appeals to locals and tourists alike with an amazingly rich and diverse leisure and entertainment program. |
