| Festival Description | Centerstage Theatre Festival was launched in 2010 by the National Centre Performing Arts. The programming of the festival features new works of plays written and performed at Centrestage. The festival serves as a launching pad for premiered works that go on to be produced elsewhere and many times to receive awards. The plays premiered are in Hindi, Marathi, English and Gujarati by theatre groups from throughout India and from the international arena. The NCPA Centrestage programming also includes workshops, a street theatre competition and discussions. |
