The Colourscape Festival was inaugurated in the UK and in 2011 expands to include Finland at Kupittaa Park as part of the European Capital of Culture. The relationship between colour and sound has a long history. During Colourscape Music Festivals, you can hear a range of music, see dance and mime, and move amongst the performers, who are occupying and responding to the same space as you. We use Colourscape structures specially designed by the artists for music and other performances. There are a variety of spaces — some larger and lighter for big groups including dance, grand piano and even a small opera—some darker and more intense to bring greater depth to the music.
