The Crunch Art and Philosophy Festival takes place annually under the production skills of the Institute of Art and Ideas. A wide range of artistic and cultural events take place across Hay-on-Wye. The programming includes: music sessions; debates and talks on culture and society, ethics and religion, politics and economics, psychology and mind, science and technology; literature and film; live music and DJs; comedy; cabaret; visual arts fair; metaphysics; philosophy and more…

Crunch gathers an inspiring medley of creative thinkers, arts professionals including musicians, curators, critics and writers, gallery directors, and actors among others. In addition there is a visual arts component known as the Crunch Art Fair with showcases and exhibitions of the best of contemporary art. The festivities are rounded out with late night parties where you can rub shoulders with the festival guests and performers and enjoy the community spirit of Crunch!
