| Festival Description | The free music festival takes place in the streets and neighborhoods of Sendai. The streets, shopping areas, plazas and buildings come alive during the two day events. Local and national bands including jazz, rock, ska, gospel acts among others are given the opportunity to play to large audiences thereby serving as a showcase of talents. The festival of the people began in 1987 and it is with the same energy and passion the festival will continue beyond the 2010 earthquake that struck the region. |
