| Festival Description | Founded in 1983 the Edinburgh Book Festival was the first literary festival in Scotland and one of only three in the UK — there are now over 35 in Scotland and over 300 throughout the UK. The festival features just under 800 authors in over 750 events that include adult and children’s programming. This festival is the ideal place to discover new writers and their works in their own words, purchase a range of works from many thousands of books, listen to discussions and so much more! |
