| Festival Description | The festival of folk dance and music was established in 1986 when it presented its first event. Since that first edition the festival has become an annual event. The festival brings together national and international dancers and musicians to perform. Families in the area host the artists with many returning for visits years later, and likewise dancers host their host familes in their own homes. The aim is to create an event where cultures are shared and friendships are established. Participants wear their colorful, traditional costumes making for a lively and colorful atmosphere. |
