| Festival Description | The Malpeque Folk Festival will launch it inaugural edition in 2012 with a one day festival in August 2011 that will serve as a sampler for the office festival. The launch of the first edition will take place over 3 days in 2012. The taster event will be free and happen on Victorian Row in Charlottetown. The festival was founded by Mitch Podolak — founder of the Winnipeg Folk Festival and who packs a lot of festival know-how under his belt. The first edition is slated to be a three day that will happen in August 2012 — an event with multiple stages and space for camping, food and artisan vendors. |
