| Festival Description | The Harud Festival is organized by the Jaipur Literature Festival to honor and promote the work of writers from Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. The popularity of literature in India has taken an upswing in recent times and the interest in reading among Indians has been a major factor in the development of the festival. The programming includes readings, discussion sessions and cultural events. Harud means ‘Autumn’ in Kashmiri. |
