| Festival Description | The annual folk dance and music festival brings together a regional and international roster of folk artists and craftspeople. Performances take place at multiple venues — as the festival tours north Mississippi from Tupelo to Clarksdale. The Festival International Marketplace Day will be held at The Powerhouse in Oxford with international foods, handicrafts, music, dance and storytelling. Yocona Festival offers a taste of diverse cultures from regional to world-wide. Local ethnic performers, dancer, Irish musicians, seminal Mississippi Rock and Roll, and Scottish bagpipe provide a colorful atmosphere with traditional costumes worn by performers. This festival of cultural traditions is a family-friendly event that the entire family will enjoy.
