| Festival Description | The West Wave Festival presents performances by the Bay area’s contemporary choreographers — both established and emerging artists. The artist’s works include culturally and artistically diverse presentations. The festival’s aim is to provide a platform for experimentation, the development of new work, and the opportunity to refine their repertories. WestWave Dance has taken place annually since 1991. The 20th anniversary season commemorates the success of the last two decades of WestWave Dance presenting 523 choreographers, 393 world premieres, 2,092 performances, and countless thrilling moments. |
