Festival Description

The San Francisco Free Folk Festival is a project of the San Francisco Folk Music Club, and is sponsored by the San Francisco Folk Music Center. Since the first annual event in 1976, the Festival has been an interactive cornerstone celebration of folk music’s rich history, and a treasured tradition for Bay Area folk music lovers. The festival showcases diverse folk traditions and top notch regional talent. The Festival hosts live music and dance performances on three stages, 86 hours of music and dance workshops, impromptu jams, food and family-friendly fun. The music has a wide range from beatboxing, jug bands, western swing, acoustic folk and much more. As always, admission is 100% free.
