Downtown Classic Car Show and Country Fest & Country Idol Contest

Over 500 classic and custom vehicles will line St. Paul Street at the annual Downtown Classic Car Show. Since 2002 the festival has been held every summer by the St. Catharines Downtown Association, this popular event attracts thousands of automotive enthusiasts and families alike from all over Ontario. Visitors are invited to come out and browse through the vintage cars, as well as take part in various attractions throughout the day.
The Downtown Classic Car show features a variety of attractions and events throughout the day appealing to every age. Once again, a Low Rider Hop-off event will be taking place, which sees cars “hopping” upwards of 50 inches in the air. This event is a competition for up to $1,000 in cash prizes, and is always a crowd favourite. An interactive children’s area will be available complete with a car that kids will be able to paint. Music enthusiasts will enjoy the free entertainment by country bands from all over Ontario, taking place outside of 415 St. Paul Street.
Guests are invited to attend the Downtown Classic Car Show free of charge. Downtown shops and restaurants in the downtown area will also be open for business allowing guests to experience over 200 boutiques and dining options. In addition, businesses will also be taking part in a sidewalk sale that runs Wednesday through Saturday.
