Australia's largest community based jazz festival during the October long weekend, features over 70 free performances on six outdoor stages from noon until sundown (indoor ticketed concerts an option in the evening). Jazz fans from across the nation and overseas converge on Sydney's prime seaside resort for the major event. Set among the beautiful Sydney harbour environment, Manly is considered to be the 'home of jazz' in Australia. The 2004 Manly International Jazz Festival, an annual event celebrated its 27th year.
