| Festival Description | The rock music festival takes place at beautiful Slane Castle in County Meath, Ireland. Previous years have held host to such bands as the Red Hot Chili Peppers and U2, Thin Lizzy, Kings of Leon, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Santana, Queen, Bruce Springsteen, George Thorogood, Neil Young, David Bowie, Faith No More, Guns ‘n’ Roses, Oasis, REM, The Verve, David Gray, Brian Adams, Foo Fighters, Queens Of The Stone Age and PJ Harvey. Slane Festival began in 1981 and has established a reputation for bringing a stellar lineup together each year. |
