Festival Story:

In 1991, a single performance was organized to measure interest in the town raised what would become the recreational tourism par excellence event in Brome-Missisquoi for many years! Thus did the festival begin modestly in 1992 and presented the first festival of street musicians. Modestly the budget plan was only $40,000 — stripped of any government subsidy. But no less fascinating was the programming that featured more than 100 hours of scheduled performances, and this, in just 4 days! It is the stage band of the polyvalente Massey-Vanier that returned the honor to offer the first official show of street musicians! This is how the festival began and then continued to grow and develop to what it has become today.
