| Festival Description | The inaugural edition of Calgary Stampede took place in 1912. The area, known for its history of ranching and farming became a hub for country people to gather and enjoy their shared cultural background. The annual event features a range of music acts, rodeos, parades, great food, agricultural and industrial exhibitions, and more. Since that time Calgary has grown to become an establishd tourist destination for neighbors as well as international travelers. |
