| Festival Description | The Liverpool Shanty Festival takes place in Liverpool on the Salthouse Dock. The programming features traditional sailor’s songs. These songs are nostalgic songs of the sea that served to lift sailor’s spirits and to synchronize their work on handling rigging. Performers from around the world bring their own songs and traditions to the festival. In addition to the main performances there will also be informal sessions in the area. |
