| Festival Description | The inaugural edition of the Istanbul International Street Jazz Festival takes place in April 2011. The organizers invite you to come and meet with Jazz musicians and to enjoy the Jazz culture of Istanbul. All proceeds will be donated to children’s cancer research, education and to assist communities. Istanbul is one of the largest metropolitan cities in the world as an arts and culture center. Istanbul’s streets will be filled with Jazz musicians and dancers from diverse cultures from throughout the world. The inaugural festival programming primarily features European and Turkish Jazz musicians although all jazz musicians from around the world are encouraged to contact the organizers indicating their interest in taking part in the festival. The organizers’ vision of the festival is to encourage world peace through music and art. |
