17th meeting of Croatian folk ensembles will be held on 23 and 24 October 2010. At the Cultural Centre in Cakovec. It is organized by the Croatian Culture Association, Community HKUU Međimurje and Cultural Association “Castle” Pribislavec. Patron of the event is Ministry of Culture. Ensembles meeting was the culmination of months of work and festivals held throughout the county and a unique opportunity to annually in one place, see most of what was happening on the folk level at the state level. In this years program by 13 folk groups / ensembles from the Croatian and 1 guest from Slovenia (Cultural Association Anton Stefanciosa from Rogatec) takes part. The program will take place in two days; will begin with a solemn procession through the center of Cakovec. The meeting begins on Saturday at 17.00 and on Sunday at 10.00. This year, professional performance troupes will accompany three-member jury composed of Stjepan Sremac, Vesna Zorić and Drazen Varga. We are very proud of our folk inheritance and would like to show it to everyone and everywhere. All folk groups are welcome to join us!
