Tehran Theatre Festival

The inaugural edition of the Tehran Theatre Festival will be celebrated in March 2011. The programming includes stage theatre, puppet, street, religious, traditional, resistance, children and youth, and staged readings. In addition to performances there will be readings of research papers and seminars among theatre professionals, professors and dramatists. The aim is to encourage young people and to enrich the arts and culture of the general public with dramatic works on the subjects of religious, political, and social themes.
