Festival Description

The first Bülbül competition took place in Baku in 1997 and was established by the decree issued by the President of Azerbaijan Geydar Aliev. It was also his initiative to name the festival after the renowned artist, laureate of the State Award, professor Bülbül. The second competition took place in the year 2000. The vocalists from many countries, including Russia, Ukraine, China, Iran, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Moldova participate in these competitions.
