Venue:
- Stuyvesant Cove Park
- Located along the East River between 18th and 23rd Streets. Solar One sits in the north end of the park, near the 23rd Street entrance and the Gulf gas station. Whether you approach from 18th, 20th or 23rd Streets, you need to cross Avenue C and walk under the elevated FDR Drive to reach the Park. The closest subway stops are the 6 at 23rd Street and the L at 1st Avenue. The M15, M16, M21 and M23 buses all stop within a few blocks. Solar One is also located off of the East River greenway and receives hundreds of visitors on foot and bicycle.
- From the 6 train, walk east along 23rd Street until it ends and cross under FDR Drive to the River, or take the M23 crosstown bus, getting off when it turns right onto Avenue C. From the L train, walk north along 1st Avenue and then turn right onto East 20th Street and follow that until the end. Cross Avenue C and go under the FDR Drive to reach the Park.
- By car coming from the south off the FDR Drive, take the 20th-23rd Street exit, follow it to the right onto Avenue C, make a right turn at 23rd Street as if going to the Gulf station, and then take the service road to Solar One. Coming from the north, take the 23rd Street exit and follow it to the light. Make a left turn towards the gas station and then take the service road to the building.
