Festival Description

The festival celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2004. With numerous achievements and new aspirations, the festival has established itself as a cultural event of significant importance for the Croatian culture and at the same time assured its presence on European theatrical and musical maps. It must be remembered that many of the renowned and celebrated names of the greatest operatic and theatrical stages achieved their first recognition at the Split Summer Festival.
