| Festival Description | Beautiful and historic Ridgefield, Connecticut is the home of the Chekhov International Theatre Festival. Celebrating the legacy of Michael Chekhov, the great Russian actor and teacher, who directed and taught in Ridgefield, the Chekhov International Theatre Festival produces new and classical plays by American and international companies. It was Chekhov who provided actors a method to access the unconscious self and unleash it through artistic expression. Following his lead we seek to enhance the cultural landscape of the tri-state area and make Ridgefield a destination for compelling professional theatre. |
