Festival Description

The Illawarra Folk Festival is an award winning tourism event of national standing that began in 1985. Since then it has grown to include over 400 folk performers and 150 events that include concerts, dances, workshops, storytelling and spoken word, street theatre, poetry and comedy sessions, acoustic jams, a children’s festival and special events. A range of music genres include: roots, traditional, Celtic, acoustic, bluegrass, world, gypsy, and music train. The festival takes place over three days and four nights at 12 venues located in the historic town of Bulli on the South Coast of NSW.
