| Festival Description | The International Taiko Festival takes place in San Francisco drawing talented Taiko drummers to the gathering. The art of Taiko drumming is an integral part of Japanese culture. The sacred art form has been around since ancient times — having been used to drive away evil spirits that were considered harmful to crops and livelihoods. Taikos imitate the deep rumbling sound of thunder. |
