Efest was all about Green Living — the free events took place in Sarasota at the Sarasota Polo Grounds. The eco-friendly initiative brought together speakers, Green organizations, local foods and beverages to promote sustainable living and practices. The events included music and dance performances: with music taking place on the main stage near the food court area; dance performances were presented on the performing arts stage located on the north side of the main polo field in front of the large bleachers.

Efest began in 2005 through the initiative of Sustainable Sarasota. Efest is a 501c3 non-profit organization. One of the founding members notes that, “People everywhere are seeking credible information about living healthier, greener, more conscious lives. Efest is designed to meet this need for the benefit of our shared future.”…
