| Festival Description | Daniel Pearl, who lost his life to terrorists in Pakistan in 2002 is the inspiration behind FODfest, the annual concert tour honoring the life. Danny, was a reporter for the Wall St. Journal, and a talented musician whose passion for music included playing a variety of instruments — the fiddle, mandolin, and violin. Danny was involved in the local music scene wherever he lived, and while on the road he sought out the people, music, and their culture. FOD — “Friends of Danny” is a concert tour that begins in Hudson, New York and works its way around the US. FODfest is booked by Skyline Music and takes place each October since 2004. FODfest was created and is produced by Todd Mack, a friend and former band mate of Danny Pearl. Mack is a musician, songwriter, and producer. The concerts are free and open to the public, to keep the FODfest an annual event, donations will be collected at each performance to help offset tour and production costs. |
