| Festival Description | The Gueule Tapee Festival has taken place in Dakar, Senegal since 2004. The venue of the festival is in the suburbs of Dakar to accommodate the cultural, artistic, and sporting events that draw participants from the surrounding region. The program features the multicultural fields of dance, music, a children's program, and sporting events that include traditional fighting and semi-marathon. The festival is organized with the assistance of l’association Actions Solidaires Pour le Développement Local in the commune of Sam Notaire Ville de Guédiawaye Dakar. Sénégal. It is the aim of the organizers to make the Gueule Tapee Festival an international event. This year's edition will bring attention to and help mobilize efforts to combat violence against children. |
