Tjedan Suvremenog Plesa
Dance Week Festival is Croatia’s primary international festival of contemporary dance. The program takes place in Zagreb in all major performing venues. Part of the program is also featured in Rijeka. The festival features works by international artists and the Croatian Choreographic Platform will feature works of artists selected from among numerous applications. The ancillary program features workshops, exhibits, site-specific works, round-table discussions.
|Festival Dates||May 21 - June 2, 2012|
New generations of choreographers express their aesthetic and social comments of the world they live in and so they leave their mark on the history of dance. The aim of the festival from the beginning was to present a broad range of diverse styles and dance profiles present in the world of dance today. The Festival offers a context to the development of new ideas and the space for the emergence of new talents, and especially a point of reflection about the art of dance within the overall Croatian culture.
