| Festival Description | Festival Chiang Mai is a celebration of Lanna Culture (formerly the old kingdom) that features old and new cultural events. The program will include local performers, some ethnic Thai cousins from Vietman and China, some excellent expatriate performers and invited guest. There are three themes this year — Serenity, Balance and Roots. The festival coincides with a celebration of His Majesty the King’s Brithday, in December where two evenings will be produced in regard to these specific festivities. The organizational offices include the King and the Night Safari as well as the office of the Prime Minister of Thailand. A series of promotional events will be created and will serve as a bridge between East and West. |
