Geraldton Music Jamborree began when a group of local citizens committed to the under-funded MacLeod Park in Geraldton came together in 1994 to work towards a solution to financially support the park. Eventually the group became “Friends of MacLeod Park” a non-profit organization that grew from that first initiative. The Jamborree festival was the first fund raising event that continues to this day. Volunteer committee members donate countless hours meeting throughout the year and working to produce a successful Jamboree. These events are a huge undertaking in terms of volunteer and financial commitment as well as the attention to detail required for every facet of the event.
