Shanghai International Children's Arts Festival

First held in 1994, the Shanghai International Children's cultural and Art Festival is held once every three years in Shanghai. Children's art troupes from all over the world are invited to participate—activities include the opening and closing ceremonies, children's forum, children's Expo, exchange performances, grand get together and sightseeing tours. The event is sponsored by the China Welfare Institute, Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation, etc.
