| Festival Description | The initiative to gather the best productions of national drama from all three Baltic countries started in 2005 with the first festival VIEW in Riga, Latvia. Each year the festival is held in a different Baltic country, and now it is back to Riga again. VIEW 2008 is organized by the Latvian Theatre Union (LTU). The festival programme includes two recent contemporary drama productions selected by each country. Every night there are discussions about plays and performances, and the round table discussions of Baltic playwrights are also a part of the programme. |

- The deadline for the registration to the Baltic Contemporary Drama Festival VIEW 2008, has been extended until August 15, 2008
- The festival will take place in Riga, September 10-13, 2008 and will offer a great opportunity to see the selection of the last seasons’ best productions of contemporary Baltic drama — including the directors, Viesturs Kairiss and Indra Roga from Latvia); directors, Margu Kasterpalu and Kalju Komissarov from Estonia; and Lithuania directors, Benas Sarka and Jonas Vaitkus.
