Lee Denny, Founder and Organizer
LeeFest simply started out as a party in a backyard. Since then, the festival has developed into an established festival with great music, a limited audience (capacity of 2000) and a charitable event rolled into one. The founder and lead organizer, Lee Denny along with friends and family have been putting together a true home-grown music festival — with a green ethos, a festive and upbeat atmosphere, and the aim to simply to have a fun-filled day of great music.
|Festival Dates||July 12 - 14, 2013|
- LeeFest will be on the 12th, 13th and 14th July next year, organisers have revealed. 2013 marks the first year that the grassroots event will take place over three days. Recently honoured as ‘Best Independent Festival’ at the AIM Independent Music Awards 2012, LeeFest has grown steadily since its creation in Lee Denny’s back garden 7 years ago. The 25 year old, last week named by Time Out as one of the 100 most influential creative individuals in the UK, continues to run the event as part of a large team of volunteers: ‘We’ve come a long way very quickly and feel ready to take the next step – an extra day to the party!’. The non-profit festival has also announced its continued support for Kids Company Charity in 2013.
