| Festival Description | The Montrose Music Festival features an electic mix of blues, indie, rock, swing, folk and pipe music. Gigs take place throughout the weekend in official venues throughout Montrose, featuring live music from top local and national acts. For those who would like to participate in sessions feel free to bring along an instrument and join in the traditional and bluegrass music sessions. These take place in official venues between gigs—start your own, or join in to one already started. The program includes buskers, street performers, food stalls and more. On Saturday afternoon and evening Montrose Town Hall will host a free concert for young music fans with music from some of the best bands chosen from the auditions. Sunday’s program will feature gigs throughout the afternoon and early evening and finish up with a ‘survivors’ gathering at one of the venues, consisting of open mic concert with buffet provided. All are welcome. |
