Riverfest - Wichita River Festival

The annual festival began in 1970 in celebration of the city's 100th birthday. The one day event has grown from thousands to more than 350,000 attendees. The program includes more than 100 bands and performers, and includes the Showdown Parade, a walk and run fest, and children's activities and much, much more... The festival is run by a core of volunteers that engize the events with more than 4,000 hours of combined efforts. Riverfest is the largest event of its kind held during May in the mid-west.
